Service Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Monitors performance of the product; maintains product manuals; provides customers with regular reports and feedback on their service requests
  • Responds to customer complaints; evaluates and resolves problems of the customer
  • Assists in installing the equipment; analyzes, inspects, and reviews findings to determine the solution to the problem that the customer demands
  • Works alongside with technical sales engineers
  • Develops and maintains relations with customers
  • maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times, consistent with client and company expectations, and in doing so help to promote the image of the company
  • observe and adhere to company health & safety guidelines and contribute to a healthy and safe working environment
  • strong colleague/customer/subcontractor interfacing skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electrical engineering (preferred), mechanical, computer engineering or related technical field from a four years college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience, 3-5 years’ experience
  • Experience required is 1-3 years
  • Experience with industrial control systems (PLC, embedded, PC based. etc.), manufacturing equipment applications, and/or factory automation systems
  • Testing and troubleshooting of automation products like industrial PCs, Embedded PCs, Hand-held Pendant Station, etc.
  • EtherCAT fieldbus and/or other industrial fieldbus protocol
  • Proven experience in an electrical/ installation environment
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Experience of engaging with customers in a pressured environment
